Lots of things go on outside lately. The house is being painted, it looks great. Some small repairs on a shed in the back yard are on the list. We also hired landscapers to help us set up the farm yard now that we have inside the house all set up. Things are a bit of a mess out there right now, and there is a lot more to be done, but just thought I would share some photos of some of what is going on.
We have already set up the herb garden, and the vegetable patch.
Soon, there will be a round bench set up right around the tree by the vegie patch, and up in it’s branches will be some beautiful solar lights, creating a romantic atmosphere.
In addition to planting some raspberries over by the vegie patch, we also got some area cleared and ready for strawberries. All around the back edge of the Strawberry Patch, I planted wildflower seeds. So picking Strawberries will be a not just yummy experience, but a beautiful and hopefully fragrant one as well. It was definitely interesting to go out in the rain to spread the seeds….. I can’t wait to see them start to come up.
There is still a lot of work to be done including possibly a purgala over the back patio. There are some lilac bushes waiting to go in and some pretty climbing roses for the back of the house, wisteria that will love to climb over the patio, and a bed and a couple of bushes in the front waiting to go in and to be finished. The yard is a work in progress. I am so happy we are finally getting done the outside work that has needed to happen here for some time and I look forward to sharing more photos as the projects outside continue.
